CNN.com - 'Superman' star Christopher Reeve dead at 52 - Oct 11, 2004

I don't know why this makes me so sad, but it does. The movie "Superman" was such an iconic one that Reeve gets identified with the same status and invulnerability. Sure, breaking his neck showed that he wasn't invulnerable, but he's had a pretty full life since then,
even appearing in Smallville and directing a movie.

Between him and Rodney Dangerfield, all of the stars that I considered favorites during childhood are dying. Extremely depressing.
