Let me say one thing: I do not like or support Kerry. It's just that I dislike him less than I dislike Bush. He was the lesser of two evils, in my opinion, because I feel that our privacy, right to free speech, and general freedom is slowly being eroded.
Kerry went up a notch in my book by conceding. Nothing made our country and political system look cheaper and more ridiculous in 2000 than the lawsuits and petty arguments that went on. Both Gore and Bush ended up looking like little bitches, Gore especially.
Now that the election is over, I have decided to support Bush to some extent, since he is our President for the next four years. Maybe now that he doesn't have to worry about re-election, he'll do a better job? I can only hope. Things can only go up from here, right?

1. What exactly has Kerry done to make you dislike and not support him?
2. Why would Bush be willing to be more centrist AFTER he was re-elected? He clearly did not care about the center while trying to get re-elected, and now that he has mind-bogglingly declared a "nationwide" victory (I guess we don't count anyplace I've ever lived as part of the nation), he'll take that to mean he's done well the last few years. He clearly is the ruler of the evangelicals, and he will continue to rule along those lines, imo.
3. Why would you support Bush? Because rubes in hickville got scared by Bogeyman Cheney that Osama was coming to get them and voted in droves? He has done very few positive things socially, economically (except the lower taxes which i know you love) and foreign-policy-wise and the fact that most of the country was too blind or ignorant to notice doesn't mean the rest of us should support him. It means that we should be ashamed that we share a country with so many fucking morons.

4. And "Gore especially?" Bullshit. Bush didn't win FL in 2000 and he didn't win the popular vote. Gore was standing up for the majority of American voters who wanted him to be President. And he made an ass of himself? Please. The month-long war for democracy to prevail waged by Gore was the only Democratic thing about that election.
