More crazy clients!

Email correspondence with one crazy client. Obviously, starts at the bottom, progresses to the email I just sent him ten minutes ago (messages have been edited to protect the stupid and for content):

As a company, we are required to reply to all emails we receive. It’s professional courtesy.

Your email address was never in our database. We only sent you the original email because you have a profile online. You will not receive any marketing information or other communication from us in any way, except for a direct reply to your email.

Best regards,

Subject: SPAMMING-LEGAL ACTION WILL FOLLOW UNDER FEDERAL AND NEW MEXICO LAW. – COPY TO LEGAL FILE

CONSULT YOUR ATTORNEY. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU NOT TO REPLY. ANOTHER MESSAGE WILL BE HARASSMENT. LITIGATION IN NM AND FEDERAL COURT WILL BE UNDERTAKEN AT COST TO YOU. YOUR CLAIM IS FALSE AND MISLEADING – CROSSING A STATE BOUNDARY FALLING UNDER FRAUD BY WIRE STATUTES. I AM HOSTILELY INCLINED TO PROSPECTING AND MODIFIED PHISHING UNDER THE GUISE OF AN EMPLOYMENT OFFER.

DO NOT REPLY. REMOVE MY NAME FROM FURTHER EMAIL OR OTHER COMMUNICATIONS. I WILL CALL YOUR EMPLOYER [XXX-XXX-XXXX] TO INFORM OF YOUR HARASSMENT SHOULD YOU DISREGARD THIS MESSAGE!

I’m not sure why you’re reacting so hostilely. You put your profile online, and we replied to it. You asked a question in your email, so I responded to you. It’s basic professional protocol.

NOT INTERESTED. I ALSO WENT TO LAW SCHOOL AND HAVE SEVERAL OFFERS. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO ME OR LEGAL ACTION WILL FOLLOW UNDER NEW MEXICO LAW. IT IS ALSO CONTRARY TO US LAW.

IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ME FROM YOUR FUTURE MAILINGS.

As it clearly states in the original email, we do charge a fee. It’s typically between $1500-3500.

Crazy. And, not like “oh, that’s crazy.” That’s CRAZY crazy, like lunatic. Like, wft? Like, … man, I’d love to see that court case from an outsider perspective. I bet the judge would throw out the case in the preliminary hearing. His messages are more spammy than the ones you sent him.

Adam, you are awesome. I loved your, “we are required to reply to all emails” People are idiots, but in the same fashion, the justice system can be pretty idiotic. We won’t be laughing if he really can sue. There is no reasonable way he could, but I have seen stupider things; consider my run-in and Sean’s.
