Tits on the Radio

A few Friday points worth mentioning:

First, I promised Kyra that I'd pimp her radio show if she'd send me a video of her having sex with an action figure of Batman. She quickly agreed - a bit too quickly, if you ask me - so here you go:

On Sunday at 3 PM EST (that's 12 PM PST, 1 PM MST, 2 PM CST, and 8 PM STD), Kyra will be regaling the world with tales of her sexual exploits, including the number of things she can fit into her vagina at once, the amount of gravitational pull her tits have, her favorite tricks for convincing her husband to have anal sex with her, and how much she wants to ride each and every one of you like Luke Perry in 8 Seconds.

Go check it out and on Sunday, take off your clothes and listen!

Secondly, I came across a great website called "garfield minus garfield". The author says, "Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?" Here's just one example:

Thirdly, I've started re-watching The X-Files, starting with season 1. I bought the whole series on DVD over Christmas and it's been sitting there, mocking me, so I finally gave in. I had forgotten how great this show really was. It's smartly written with a great sense of humor, and the mythology is so well laid out. You can just tell the level of meticulous detail that went into every episode.

After this, it's onto Gilmore Girls, then probably Dexter, Twin Peaks, Brisco County, Jr., then maybe Lost, and finally Seinfeld. Watching all of these series straight through should only take me until 2043.

Finally, I'd like all of you people who live in the North to come to Florida and take this fucking weather back. It's February, for fuck's sake - it shouldn't be this cold!

We just watched Gilmore girls, and we're now watching Veronica again. I think next we're going to do Rescue Me.

I can tell you from experience Lost is more fun to watch on DVD than it is on regular TV. You might get the answer to a question within a few weeks instead of a few years.

Twin Peaks is probably my favorite television series of all time. I didn't catch it when it was on the air, but I found them at my public library on VHS, and I was hooked immediately.

She's DAID! Wraaaapped in ppppplaaaaastic! (If you haven't seen it, no worries. This is in the first episode; maybe the second. I haven't spoiled anything.)

Garfield hasn't been funny for a long time. Kind of like Robin Williams.

I've put a bunch of TV shows on my NetFlix queue. I'm gonna start with Weeds I think.

My husband and I had a Tripping The Rift marathon this weekend, and found ourselves freshly blown away by the brilliance of it. Funniest show EVER. How they got some of that stuff on the air is beyond me.

God, I loved The X-Files the first 4 or 5 seasons.

Kate and I got my MIL to watch Gilmore Girls. She quickly became addicted and plowed through seasons 1-6, and now has decided that Season 6 was so terrible she just refuses to watch Season 7.

It must be nice to make THAT decision after a few weeks vs. watching it from the beginning several years ago and feeling obligated to see it through.

(and yes, I am STILL pissed about GG and VM. Fuck the CW right up the ass. Bastards.)

I'm with Amanda above re: Lost. I'd watch an entire disc and stay up til 4 am b/c I couldn't not do it. The problem is that when you get through all of them you're ready to kill someone b/c you have to wait for the new season. It's a bad, bad drug. I'm in the north and not taking anything back. Right now it just started snowing for about the 8,457th time.

I was in heaven when they finally released the full Twin Peaks collection on DVD. I'm about three quarters of the way through it. I hope to get through the rest over spring break(when we go North-how does that make any sense ?).It's even better than I remember it being. And I can see both sides of the Lost argument. I have been watching it weekly, and it's kind of neat to process the episodes and try to figure out what's been going on, but the wait is maddening too.
Okay, I think that's enough from me today.

Amanda, that's what I was thinking. I liked doing that with Alias, too.

Thursday's Child, I saw it on when it aired on TV originally, but I was too young to really appreciate it, I think.

Jay, that's one that I'm thinking about watching, too.

SJ, have you ever watched It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?

Preposterous, ever watched it? Brilliant show.

Amy, I plan on watching it even through the terrible parts.

Dave, I've watched Veronica Mars straight through at least three times. That's always a perpetual favorite. Never seen Wonderfalls or Sports Night, and I need to buy Dead Like Me so I can watch that again.

Sarah, that's why I'm thinking I might wait until the show is totally done.

Turnbaby, what's wrong with Gilmore Girls? It's awesome!

Dee, I bought the series box set that comes in a little playhouse thing.

MsFreud, that's a good one to watch all the way through, too. I haven't done that in a while.

Mr. Fabulous, I'll fight you for her.

Britt, insert obligatory comment reply here.

ADW, but my toes are cold!

Robin, I used to find Garfield funny, but then it just got horrible.

    Trish, yeah? It is?

Poppy, it was like 37 here! And that's the link to her radio show page.

Paticus, I watched the pilot of Twin Peaks but then never finished it. I need to do that.

Finn, it's even better if you get rid of Nermal too.

Cheri, it was like 37-40! I had the heat on at 70.

Lynda, yeah, but not every day. I need to - those guys are funny.

Heather, the second movie is going to kick ass - did you see that trailer?

Grant, I liked Paris after the first few seasons.

    Kyra, me too!

TMP, yeah, it really is fun to do.

Nobody, well, modern Robin Williams comedy is like Robin Williams without Robin Williams on coke.

Stephanie, I'll get the peanut butter. You can try it out here.

    Crystal, it was 37!

Sybil Law, I've seen the Dexter pilot and liked it quite a bit.

Em, I gave up on Lost but I'm willing to give it another chance.

Fantastagirl, it shouldn't be this cold in Florida in February!

Tracy, luckily, I buy stock in brain bleach.

NYCWD, BSG is awesome - have you been watching any of it?

    Trukindog, Brisco County was brilliant!

Kylah, sure, as long as I get my sun back.

Wayne, it would be very existential.

    Freelance, that's my job!

HG, yeah, Northern Exposure would be fun to watch again.

my tits are on the radio right now. took by bra off and flopped em right on top of it. so why are tits on the radio a good thing?

garfield without him is funny stuff. i had never seen that before. damn, i am so sheltered.

loved me some x-files. one night i was so creeped out by an episode that i was in a chair that had its back against the wall, while i repeated the 'our father' over and over again because i was alone and terrified. i didn't know what else to do. must have worked because i didn't die or get eaten by a huge snake or anything.
