And here we are, with the 42nd Edition of Lazy Sunday!
So, last week, in addition to the normal contest, I had three references from the week before that nobody got right! I offered a six-pack of gourmet popcorn from Dale & Thomas to the first person to email me with the correct answers for all three. Unfortunately, none of you guessed correctly, which ashames me on so many levels. Sigh. So, here are the three references and their answers:
1. My roommate and I once:
Well, to be fair, it was roommates, and they helped me get together with a girl, even though they were a bit gross.
Hint: The roommates might not be humans.

If you’re from Cleveland, you’ll feel right at home.
Hint: This hometown and Cleveland have something in common that is very unique.

15. If I could have any car it would be:
A magical red car that I can turn into.
Hint: This is not a television show for adults and it’s not longer on air.

Everyone has a chance at winning, so don’t be shy! The questions may be hard, but everyone who’s between the ages of 16 and 80 should be able to get at least one correct – I promise.
The rules:
It’s very simple. I go through my Myspace friends and pick one of their survey bulletins and answer 15 of the questions. Every answer contains a reference to a movie, a television show, or a song. Just guess as many as you can – some will be laughably easy and some will be very difficult. Every correct answer is like a raffle ticket – you get one chance to win per correct answer. If you get 1 right, your name goes in the proverbial hat. If you get 10 right, your name goes in ten times. Et cetera. You’re on the honor system – try not to Google or look at other people’s answers!
The contest ends Tuesday at midnight EST. I’ll give the correct answers and the winner on the following Sunday.

The color isn’t important. What’s important is that I have a friend who works in a crime lab that I can send the toothbrush to, and he can tell me how recently you brushed your teeth.

This one handicapped guy who was making a handicapped face.

Just got back from killing a whole shitload of Burmese soldiers.
4. Have you ever been to a strip club?
Only that one where the girl jumps up and down.
5. What is the last thing you said aloud?
“My large tropical snake isn’t interested in what you’re currently offering unless your posterior meets his size requirements, miss.” Or something like that.
6. What is the best ice cream flavor?
Napalm. It tastes like victory.
7. What was the last thing you had to drink?
A milkshake.
8. The last sporting event you watched?
The Denver Broncos vs. some other team. I only watched it because I own them.
9. Ever go camping?
Once, along this meteor crater. Then I got murdered, which sucked.
10. Do you like Chinese food over pizza?
Only for Christmas dinner.
11. Biggest annoyance in your life right now?
My fricking roommate won’t let me poo without talking to me.
12. What are you doing tomorrow?
Tomorrow? Well, first, I want to slay the dragon.
13. Where is your dad?
Tied up and gagged in the closet so that he can be framed for my murder.
14. Look to your left, what do you see?
A bottle of delicious Fiji Water.
15. Any plans today?
I plan on learning how to use those damned shells.

Friday the Thirteenth (any of them, except the first one)
Here’s how I chose the winner:
First, I entered everyone’s answers into a spreadsheet, giving 1 point for each correct answer and 0 points for each wrong answer. The total number of points equaled the person’s “raffle tickets” for the drawing.
Then I created a randomized list using Random.org of every “raffle ticket” – basically each person’s name was repeated as many times as they had right answers. This gave me a random list of 110 entries.
Finally, using Random.org again, I asked it to generate a random integer between 1 and 110. It chose #71.
#71 is my winner.
