How can you win this stupendous DVD collection?

There are two different ways you can enter.

1. Leave a comment here telling me your favorite Buffy moment, OR
2. Write a post on your blog that talks about the contest and links directly to this post (http://www.avitable.com/2008/11/25/free-holiday-gift-giveaway/), then email me at my first name at my last name dot com to let me know.

Each of these methods will give you one (1) entry into the contest, for a maximum of two (2) entries allowed. I will allow entries throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, until midnight EST on Sunday, November 30th. Then I will count all entries and pick a random winner and announce the winner on Monday or Tuesday.

Update: There is a third way to enter!

That’s right – I’ll let you enter a third time if you write my name on your naked chest with anything (chocolate syrup, marker, etc.) and email me a picture that shows my name, your chest, AND your face! I know, I know. I’m very generous.

Here’s my favorite Buffy moment:

You cried because you broke the yellow crayon, and you were too afraid to tell anyone. You’ve come pretty far, ending the world, not a terrific notion. But the thing is? Yeah. I love you. I loved crayon-breaky Willow and I love … scary veiny Willow. So if I’m going out, it’s here. If you wanna kill the world? Well, then start with me. I’ve earned that.

Good luck!

In other Avita-news:

Tonight, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be NO episode of “Clearly, You’re Retarded.” We’ll return next week with a bitingly sharp debate about something that means a lot to Britt and we’ll count how many times she can insult my manliness, intelligence, and humanity.

well i’ve never seen buffy and i don’t have a blog, but i need to win to finally watch this and be cool.

so i asked my roommate for his favorite moment and he says the following: Seth Green finds out he’s a werewolf but isn’t sure how. He remembers his cousin biting him, so he calls and asks if his cousin is a werewolf. And yes, he is.

  2. ScottieC

Easily, my favourite Buffy “moment” was “Once More With Feeling”… the entire episode really. I have it on iTunes and still listen to it regularly. Love it with a passion.

  3. B.E. Earl

Want…want…want…want. Want really badly. I guess I could just go buy it, but winning it seems so much cooler.

Oh, and here be SPOILERS…so beware!

I’ve said it before, and I will keep on saying it. Buffy is my favorite TV show of all-time! Angel and Firefly were great, but nothing kept me going like Buffy. Strange, because just about all my favorite Buffy moments had to do with tragedy. Angel killing Jenny in “Passion”. The consequences of betrayal in “Lover’s Walk”. And Tara…poor Tara in “Seeing Red”/”Villains”.

So it shouldn’t be shocking that I picked another tragic moment as my favorite. That would be Buffy discovering her mother’s dead body at the end of “I Was Made to Love You” and the aftermath in the first 10 minutes of “The Body”. Buffy calling 911, then Giles (“You have to come. She’s at the house”), then wandering around the house, getting sick, opening the back door, adjusting Joyce’s skirt…it was all just so incredibly moving.

Actually there are about 10 more moments just from this episode that I could include. Buffy telling Dawn. Anya not understanding the whole situation. Willow searching for the “right” sweater. Xander punching the wall. And the kiss. The first kiss between Tara and Willow. It was an episode about grief and how everyone handles theirs differently. And it was perfect.

I started watching Buffy in syndication around 2003. Right after my father died. I was burning through about 10 episodes a week, so the seasons just flew by. Now, I cried when my father died. I cried at the hospital, and with my family, and at the wake and funeral. But I never just sat down and cried about his death when I was alone. I never was able to let it out.

Not until I watched “The Body” on a Saturday morning at around 7AM. I stayed in that entire day and watched the episode 6 or 7 more times. Each time crying more than the previous time. It was cathartic…for me. I had to get it out to move on. And it was Buffy that helped me do it.

That’s why this was my favorite moment in the series.

I’ll do a post tomorrow about your contest and email you when it is done.

  4. Dan

Blimey, that’s a pretty impressive prize.

I’m not entering as I”m not posting at the moment and braking my vow of silence for this would be a little shallow.

However I’d like to second the whole Oz finding out he is a werewolf thing. So Deadpan. Bloody marvolous.

  5. b!X

Wow, that’s tough. But I’ll choose the moment that became the moment I use to help explain to people that the show wasn’t perhaps what they thought it was, that it was deeper than they suspect on the surface when hearing about it. One of the (many) moments in the show that prove that having a “genre” show can allow moments of profound character and emotion.

    Excerpt (taken from some website):

    —–

Spike walks toward the 6-foot-tall crucifix altarpiece at the front of the chapel. Sounds like he’s quoting something.

    SPIKE
She shall look on him with forgiveness, and everybody will forgive and love. He will be loved.

Spike’s standing only a foot away from the crucifix, staring at it.

    SPIKE
    So everything’s OK, right? (sighs)

Spike embraces the crucifix, resting one arm over each side of the cross bar, and resting his head in the corner of the vertex. His body is sizzling and smoke is rising from where it touches the cross.

    SPIKE
Canβ€”can we rest now? Buffy…can we rest?

A close-up of Buffy’s face shows that she is crying now. From where she stands, Spike’s exhausted body hanging limply on the cross resembles Jesus (except the view is of Spike’s back).

    Cut to:

    Closing credits.

    —–

    End excerpt.

  6. Sarah

I love the teacher’s pet episode, when Xander has the martini and gets all wonky from it with Natalie hitting on him and then she turns into a preying Mantis. That’s one of my favorite episodes because it was the first one I saw.

  7. LeSombre

    What an amazing price!

My favorite moment is when Pee-Wee Herman says: “Kill him a lot!”. Oh wait, that was from the movie. I also like the never-ending dying scene during the credits.

Unfortunately, I only watched a couple of episodes of Buffy, and I didn’t get hooked on it at the time, so I don’t really have a favorite moment. πŸ™

But now I know what I might buy myself. Ahem, I mean Santa of course. πŸ˜‰

    Later!

  8. Crystal

I’ve never actually watched the series. I’m a huge fan of the original movie though, so if I won I’d probably give the set to Eddie, who loved the series.

And then I’d sit there and watch all the episodes with him, because every series he’s introduced me to has been made of AWESOME.

  9. becky

You tease!! My favorite Buffy moment is the when Oz was explaining the difference between a hootananny, shindig and something else! Once I hit submit, I will remember, but it had me laughing for days afterwards. Its been forever since I’ve seen it. But I loved Oz.

  10. Paticus

As I think you know, I have many favorite moments, and I think we agree that “Once More With Feeling” may well be the best hour(or hour and fifteen minutes) of television EVER.

However, I think my favorite moment is during “The Gift”, when Buffy has beaten Glory into submission, and Glory becomes Ben,and Buffy tells Ben that Glory better not return, and goes to find dawn. Giles comes over, and Ben says “She could have killed me.”
Giles responds: “No, she couldn’t. Never. And, sooner or later, Glory will reemerge and make Buffy pay for that mercy. And the world with her. Buffy even knows that, and still she couldn’t take a human life. She’s a hero, you see. She’s not like us.”
Ben says “Us ?” And then Giles suffocates him. It’s just such a powerful moment, and it distills Giles and Buffy, and everything I love about that show. I have always said, Buffy The Vampire Slayer had better speeches and better “Oh” moments(moments where characters realize some large truth-for example-Faith realize that Angel and Buffy were playing her, or Buffy finding out that Glory was a God, or the Scooby gang realizing they pulled Buffy out of heaven)than any other television show.
I think I may have a blog post now.

  11. SJ

Crap. It’s a good thing you gave us the whole weekend, because it will take me that long to narrow down my favorites to ONE Buffy moment. Because I lived and breathed Buffy back in the day.

So as our governor always says, I’ll be back.

  12. Princess of the Universe

I already own all seasons, so while I think all the extra stuff would be cool – it would also be a bit redundant…Although there is ebay…

    A few faves:
    1. Tabula Rasa- when everyone forgot who they were, and Buffy named herself Joan and said “I’m like a superhero or something!” And Spike mentioned that maybe he’s a vampire with a soul and Buffy said that was lame. And Anya called Giles “Rupey”
    2. Everytime Oz said “who IS that girl?”
    3. Everytime the mayor went off on something random like hygiene or citizenship in the midst of all his evil plotting.
    4. When Buffy told Adam (worst villain ever) “I don’t toe the line.” And he just responded with “Oh” cause he didn’t get it.
    4. Anya’s fear of bunnies.

I could go on and on….
    xo

  13. SciFi Dad

I don’t know if this counts or not, but my favourite moment was when they moved networks mid-series. I just thought it was cool because stuff like that doesn’t happen often.

(Hey, what do you want from me? I never got into Buffy, despite the efforts of friends and my sister. I figure I’ll try and win the series and then watch the DVDs and see what all the fuss was about.)

  14. Gina

    I have a tie between 2 favorites:

    1) Buffy and Spike are going at it like mad in the abandoned/dilapidated house while everything around them is crashing down, oblivious. Um, so hot!

    2) When Buffy is sad and Spike was planning to lie down on the floor to keep an eye/be there for her and she asks him just to hold her and then he holds her all night. {{melt}}

I would absolutely love to own the entire series. It has been one of my two all-time favorite series ever for years and years.

  15. FlGrl

I :heartbeat: Buffy! One of my favorites is ‘Once More with Feeling’. Joss and the whole crew did a great job with that episode. And we learned of Anna’s interesting fear of bunnies!!

But, all in all, my ultimate favorite episode is ‘Hush’. Those voice stealing guys were creepy! Leave it to Joss to make a whole episode where not one sound is uttered until the very end, and it still captivates the audience.

  16. Sheila (Charm School Reject)

My favorite episodes were : “Scary Veiny Willow” [which I don’t remember the exact name of] and “Once More With Feeling” but, in the interest of being original, I’ll go with this moment from “The Pack” in Season One :

Xander: “We just saw the zebras mating. Thank you, very exciting!”

Willow: “It was like the Heimlich… with stripes!”

Giles: “Testosterone is a great equalizer. It turns all men into morons.”

I wanna win, I wanna win, I wanna win.

I will send you pictures :sex007:

  17. Heather

We already own the first 6 seasons, so the prize is not why I’m writing – I’m commenting because any excuse to shout “BUNNIES!” is a good one.

The Fear Demon that tortured the Scooby gang all night in the Frat house at Halloween – the Fear Demon that was soooo scary – and turned out to be “Actual Size”… ahhh… yes… if only my fear demons were that easy to squash!

  18. Captain Steve

I would give you my first and second born for this prize. This would be way less of a boon than it sounds, as they, combined, will likely be the antichrist. Anyways, my favorite Buffy moment of the series is: The egg episode, where she calls Willow and asks if her egg is doing anything and Willow things she’s mad as a hatter and Buffy’s all, “My egg! It went postal on me! It hatched and out sprang this creepy-crawly thing and it attacked me! Crush your egg!” and Willow says, “I put it in the fridge.” Buffy, “Oh.” Hilarious.

  19. Laura

    I. Need. To. Win. This.

My favorite moment? Just one? GAH. Well, excluding the entire episode of “Once More, With Feeling”, and the entire episode of “Hush”, AND how they full-circled the series with Giles’ “The Earth is doomed,” at the end of the first episode of season one and the end of the last episode of season seven, I’d have to say my favorite moment was in “Fear, Itself”, when Willow was dressed as Joan of Arc and Oz had a nametag that said, “Hi, my name is GOD”. (The line was, “I’m Joan of Arc. I figured we had a lot in common, being almost burned at the stake and having a close relationship with God.”) Plus, Anya’s fear of bunnies.

  20. metalmom

This is so hard. I think that seeing Spike giving voice to his feelings about Buffy and becoming all lovesick was funny to watch, but of course that travelled throughout episodes.

My favorite scene(s) was “Under Your Spell” sung by Tara to Willow. It was a beautiful song and knowing the emotional situation behind the words, it was heartbreaking.

  21. Beth

I adore Spike. So I’d go with Tabula Rosa, and there are two favorite bits “RANDY Giles, why didn’t you just go ahead and name me Horny Giles!” and “Look! I’m a super-hero too!”

  22. stephanie

how could i possibly resist this contest??

favorite buffy moment? i’m actually going with something slightly dirty… (heh)

wrecked: when buffy and spike tear down the house around them before they tear off each other’s clothes πŸ˜‰

  23. Janelle

Ok, here I go again breaking the rules. But you love me anyway, right Adam?

I am sorry to say that I have not watched one minute of this show before I YouTube’d it just now.

So here is what I pulled up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_EDpecqqPQ&feature=related

And now my favorite moment of the show is when Seth Green throw a dagger (or whatever that was) and misses and says: “Nothing ever goes right”

I will also be posting a little something, something on my blog today about this contest and should I win, I want Sheila, from Charm School Reject, to win on my behalf.

Yeah, I know, I’m a pretty awesome friend, LOL… AND guess what Adam?? It’s almost time for my “homemade” cookies again!

  24. Elizabeth

I can practically quote you all seven seasons, dammit! Fave episodes? The Body of course, for the sheer brilliance of it. The Wish/The Gift for the whole alterna-Willow thing. And the episode with the most quotable lines after Once More With Feeling- Buffy vs. Dracula:

Xander: No, we’re not going to (imitates Dracula’s accent) leave you. And where’d you get that accent Sesame Street? One, two, three β€” three victims. Mwah, ha, ha, ha!

Willow: Well, I think we have Dracula factoids.
Xander: Like any of that’s enough to fight the Dark Master. (They look at him) Bator.

Xander: See?! Buffy didn’t feel it. I think you’re drawing a lot of crazy conclusions about the Unholy Prince! (They look at him) Bator.

Riley: I’ve lived in Sunnydale a couple of years now. Know what I’ve never noticed before?
    Giles: Uh, a castle?
    Riley: A big, honking castle.

Giles: Oh, good show Giles. At least you didn’t get knocked out for a change.

Xander: Where is he? Where’s the creep that turned me into a spider eating man bitch?
    Buffy: He’s gone.
Xander: Damn it! You know what? I’m sick of this crap. I’m sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it’s over. I’m finished being everybody’s butt monkey!
Buffy: Check. No more butt monkey.

Buffy: You think I don’t watch your movies? You always come back. (Dracula begins to materialize again.) I’m standing right here!

Seriously, the most quotable. Now, just cuz I own all seven seasons and have watched every single commentary and bonus feature doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to win this!

  25. phoenix

OK, so 1) I deserve to win because I am the coolest blog-stalker there is being the one who left you the link about the penis stealing wizard a while back! And you were cool enough to e-mail me back! 2) I think Spike is as hot as you find Avril! He just makes my toes go wiggley! 3) My 11 year old son would finally think I am the coolest mom on the block because he has loved Buffy since he was 6 years old. And finally, why I deserve to win……
I love to consume adult beverages and flash my wonderful DD’s and take pictures! So what harm would it be to scrawl in hooker-red lipstick all over them my love for the awsomeness that is Avitable?

Oh, favorite Buffy moment? When the three idiots accidentally turn Buffy invisible andshe is a sex goddess towards Spike. Xander walks into Spike’s crypt to ask where Buffy is and Spike is doing “strange push-ups” buck-nekkit on his bed while invisible Buffy is teasing his manly bits. SO HOT!

  26. stephanie

Since we’re allowed two, and I’ve had time to think about it, here’s my second favorite buffy moment. it comes at the end of the fantastic episode: The Wish, the one where Cordelia wishes that Buffy never came to Sunnydale. It was when Anya turns human, we get evil Willow (“bored now” is the header on my phone <3) and Angel is the master’s “puppy”

    The closing scene:

Angel is killed by Xander, Xander is killed by Buffy, Willow is killed by Oz and finally, Buffy’s neck is broken by the Master. As Buffy’s lifeless body falls to the ground, Giles realizes that Anyanka’s amulet contains her powers and tears it from her neck. To distract Giles, she asks how he can be sure the real world is a better one. Giles replies “Because it has to be”. He breaks the power center and reverses the spell. The scene immediately flashes back to the regular Sunnydale, at the moment just before Anyanka granted Cordelia’s wish. However, Anyanka is dismayed to find herself a powerless Sunnydale High student unable to grant any of the now-very much alive Cordelia Chase’s wishes.

So powerful! One of Joss’ best episodes!!

  27. Honeybell

The best part about Buffy is that I convinced my husband after 3 years that he loves it too. My favorite Buffy moment is, oddly enough, from the season 4 Thanksgiving “Pangs”. As the group is fighting the Native spirit. Willow wants to talk to him to make him feel better, and Spike says: “You exterminated his race! What could you possibly say that would make him feel better? It’s kill or be killed here. Take your bloody pick!

There are lots of humorous Spike moments in Buffy, but for some reason that one has always stayed with me.

  28. joe

There has never been a scarier creature created for network than The Gentlemen, from the episode “Hush”.

(Pennywise the Clown from “IT” is second, and Ben Linus from “LOST” is third)

    The Gentlemen….wicked scary.

    –joe

  29. suze

Oh my god, so many favourite moments… How do I choose? My whole blog domain name is from the last episode of Buffy, because I, too, feel like I’m not done baking yet.

Favourite moments: Willow and her doppelganger (“bored now” – then so perfectly echoed just before she flays Andrew two seasons later…); Buffy finding Joyce’s body on the couch – that whole episode actually…Willow, trying to find the sweater Joyce used to like to wear to the morgue.; the shock of Tara’s death which broke my heart but was excellent storytelling; the scene you mentioned in your post – when Xander saves the world, as he deserved to do; When Angel comes back to comfort Buffy after Joyce’s death; the entire Once More With Feeling episode; I could go on, but I’ll stop now for the sake of everyone…

  30. cris

OK I have to admit I love all things Buffy. From the first scene where Buff tells her Mom, Home school isn’t just for freaky religious people anymore to the final moment when the Scooby squad is driving away from the defeated hellmouth and Xander hears Anya died saving Andrew. “That’s my girl… always doing something stupid.”

Does this make me a nerd? If so… I want win the crown! Pick me as king of the Nerds and let me sit upon my Lazyboy throne and watch Buffy til my brain melts!

  31. badgerdaddy

What a great idea for a compo. I came via Earl’s site, though I wouldn’t want him to get too much extra credit for that.

I mean, you never know if you might win, and you’ll only know if you enter… So here I am. My stepdaughter loves Buffy, and it would be a marvellous surprise for her with Christmas approaching.

Not sure you’d want to see your name on my hairy chest in tomato sauce, though.

  32. Janna

Being a Star Trek nerd, I liked any Buffy episode where the principal was played by Armin Shimerman (The same guy who played Quark on Star Trek DS9).

    Sample quotes by Principal Skinner:

“My predecessor Mr. Flutie may have gone in for all that touchy-feely relating nonsense, but he was eaten. You’re in my world now!”

“There are things I will not tolerate. Students loitering after school. Horrible murders with hearts being removed. And also smoking.”

  33. Faiqa

    “0” marks for reading comprehension.
You said we have to put in our favorite moment, didn’t you? Crap. OK, when Willow describes meeting her Doppelganger to Xander and Buff and she goes…”plus I think I’m kinda gay…” I know, not flashy, but it’s MY favorite. I also loved all of Xander’s dialogue in Buffy v. Dracula episode… Elizabeth’s comment had me LMAO.

Can we link to your contest or do we have to write a whole post specifically devoted to it?

  34. laura

There are way too many moments to have a favorite, but one that stands out because I just saw it was from the episode when buffy can hear everyone’s thoughts (spoiler warning!):

    “You slept with Giles?!”

“On the hood of a police car?!”

    “TWICE??!!”

    πŸ™‚

  35. Katie

Can I enter, even though I live all the way in that little country called Australia? Although it’s likely you won’t have to worry about sending anything to Australia, since I seem to be allergic to winning competitions! πŸ˜›

My favourite Buffy moment, gosh there’s heaps, but I’ll always shed a tear remembering when Buffy’s mum Joyce died. I was balling when I watched it, especially when Buffy broke a rib when trying to give her CPR and when the ambulance guys referred to her as a “body” – it was just a really intense scene.

I guess it’s a little warped to say this is my “favourite” moment, but it’s definitely one I most clearly remember because it was so intense.

  36. Baby James

One of the favorites that I actually remember involves Cordelia making a wish that hurls Sunnydale into an alternate reality in which the students wear dull clothing, and the White-Hats are a group of vampire hunters.

Other than that I loved when they rid of Eliza Dushku, ’cause she was just a whole lotta douche.

  37. Lynda

Hmmm….since I had to leave all my Buffy episodes behind, I wouldn’t mind winning this.

My favorite Buffy moment is when she was in the mental insitution, no it isn’t the mental institiution, or maybe it is.

She has to decide between her mom and dad, or her friends, and at the end they say something like, “I’m sorry. She’s gone.”

I thought it was a pretty cool episode.

  38. Robin

Wow – cool giveaway, Adam! :xmas3:
I don’t have a favorite Buffy moment because I’ve seen so few Buffy episodes. I’ve seen a good bit of Angel, but I seriously need to catch up on Buffy. If I win, I promise to e-mail you with my favorite moment after I watch everything. :dunce:

  39. Slyde

ooooh, i’ve been wanting the boxed set for an age now! i actually had to borrow earls 3 shoeboxes full of vhs tapes to get thru the show.

My favorite Buffy moment i think had to be when Tara died. I was sitting there open-mouthed thinking “holy shit! this show is kicking things up a notch!”

  40. just me

“Simple deduction. Ms. Calendar is reasonably dollsome, especially for someone in your age bracket. She already knows that you’re a school librarian, so you don’t have to worry about how to break that embarrassing news to her.”
“And she’s the only woman we’ve actually ever seen speak to you. Add it up, it all spells “duh!”” — Xander and Buffy

  41. Patrick D.

I would love to get my paws on this DVD set. The Wife and I were huge fans. It’s hard to pin down a favorite. The whole musical episode (‘Once More, With Feeling’) was awesome, but I liked the series finale (‘The Chosen’) as well.

But if I have to be specific. The scene in the season two finale where Angel and Buffy fight and she grabs the sword and says ‘me’. That was good. In ‘Anne’ where she decides to fight back. That was good. Also, in one of the Halloween specials, the demon is ‘actual size’ and she crunches him. That was good.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  42. Amanda

Hi there! I would LOVE to own all of the Buffy seasons!! It’s hard to pick just one favourite moment, but I’d have to say it was “After Life”, season 6, episode 3, at the very end of the episode. Buffy has just come back to life, and the gang are disturbed by how closed off she is. The monster they fight in that episode is the one that was created by Willow’s spell to bring Buffy back. The end of it is so poignant – when Buffy confesses to Spike that she doesn’t think she was in Hell, but was rather in Heaven.

    Amanda

  43. Jen

My favorite buffy moment is by far is this:
Buffy: So here’s the part where you make a choice. What if you could have that power, now? In every generation, one Slayer is born, because a bunch of men who died thousands of years ago made up that rule. They were powerful men. [points to Willow] This woman… is more powerful than all of them combined. [Willow whimpers] So I say we change the rule. I say my power… should be our power. Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of the Scythe to change our destiny. From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer, will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power, will have the power, can stand up, will stand up. Slayers… every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?

  44. jennifer

OMG,I am going to cry if I win this. I have been coveting it on Amazon for weeks, but can’t justify the expense. Instead, I’ve been on YouTube finding clips to watch so I can wallow in Buffy angst. (What’s a holiday without my good friends Bitterness and Despair?) Here’s how I spent my Thanksgiving:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCFF_XPHhf4

Oddly, my favorite moments are the quippiest. For example, I love to blurt out, when appropriate of course, Oz’s, “I mock you with my monkey pants!”

    Ahhhhh….those were the days…..

Sadly, I have no blog and am 40 with tits that are about 5 years past their prime. Looks like I’m only getting one entry. But my appendages are crossed!

  45. SJ

Okay, I finally decided. This is tough, because this particular moment also ripped my heart out and used it to smack me in the guts.

The episode was the season finale, “Becoming, Part 2” and the scene is the one where Buffy must kill Angel to save the world. Willow’s spell to restore Angel’s soul works, and just for a moment Buffy has her love back. He tells her he loves her, she whispers “Close your eyes,” and stabs him through the heart. I cried so hard for, like, hours. Brilliant, daring writing by Joss Whedon.

My top Buffy moment was when Buffy died (the… second time?), diving into the portal and all that stuff. Spike crumpling, the gang bereft, a thorough “Where do we go from here” moment that meant there would have to be a HUGE shift in tone, in the progress of all the side-stories, and in the whole series in general. The first death was a bit of a shocker (“Look, our heroine is not infallible”), but this one was gut-wrenching. It felt like we’d have to wait an eternity to find out how the Scoobies would carry on without her.

(Okay, also the entire “Once More With Feeling” – how can you NOT love a musical that stays true to the show’s plot, works as a standalone, and advances the stories of every single character all in an hour?? Joss is a magician.)

Anyhoo. Thanks for the contest, Adam. Very cool.

My favorite Buffy moment is Anya in “The Body”, when she is trying so hard to comprehend death. It was a very beautifully acted moment. I was never much of an Emma Caulfield fan but I just loved her in this episode.
