My favorite Buffy moment is Anya in "The Body", when she is trying so hard to comprehend death. It was a very beautifully acted moment. I was never much of an Emma Caulfield fan but I just loved her in this episode.

My top Buffy moment was when Buffy died (the… second time?), diving into the portal and all that stuff. Spike crumpling, the gang bereft, a thorough "Where do we go from here" moment that meant there would have to be a HUGE shift in tone, in the progress of all the side-stories, and in the whole series in general. The first death was a bit of a shocker ("Look, our heroine is not infallible"), but this one was gut-wrenching. It felt like we'd have to wait an eternity to find out how the Scoobies would carry on without her.

(Okay, also the entire "Once More With Feeling" – how can you NOT love a musical that stays true to the show's plot, works as a standalone, and advances the stories of every single character all in an hour?? Joss is a magician.)

Okay, I finally decided. This is tough, because this particular moment also ripped my heart out and used it to smack me in the guts.

The episode was the season finale, "Becoming, Part 2" and the scene is the one where Buffy must kill Angel to save the world. Willow's spell to restore Angel's soul works, and just for a moment Buffy has her love back. He tells her he loves her, she whispers "Close your eyes," and stabs him through the heart. I cried so hard for, like, hours. Brilliant, daring writing by Joss Whedon.

OMG,I am going to cry if I win this. I have been coveting it on Amazon for weeks, but can't justify the expense. Instead, I've been on YouTube finding clips to watch so I can wallow in Buffy angst. (What's a holiday without my good friends Bitterness and Despair?) Here's how I spent my Thanksgiving:

Oddly, my favorite moments are the quippiest. For example, I love to blurt out, when appropriate of course, Oz's, "I mock you with my monkey pants!"

Sadly, I have no blog and am 40 with tits that are about 5 years past their prime. Looks like I'm only getting one entry. But my appendages are crossed!

My favorite buffy moment is by far is this:
Buffy: So here's the part where you make a choice. What if you could have that power, now? Hi there! I would LOVE to own all of the Buffy seasons!! It's hard to pick just one favourite moment, but I'd have to say it was "After Life", season 6, episode 3, at the very end of the episode. Buffy has just come back to life, and the gang are disturbed by how closed off she is. The monster they fight in that episode is the one that was created by Willow's spell to bring Buffy back. The end of it is so poignant – when Buffy confesses to Spike that she doesn't think she was in Hell, but was rather in Heaven.

I would love to get my paws on this DVD set. The Wife and I were huge fans. It's hard to pin down a favorite. The whole musical episode ('Once More, With Feeling') was awesome, but I liked the series finale ('The Chosen') as well.

But if I have to be specific.The scene in the season two finale where Angel and Buffy fight and she grabs the sword and says 'me'. That was good. In 'Anne' where she decides to fight back. That was good. Also, in one of the Halloween specials, the demon is 'actual size' and she crunches him. That was good.
