About three years ago, I came across a blog from a young Canadian blogger. She was 16 or 17, smart, dating some moronic guy, and wrote with a level of maturity and sophistication of a seasoned veteran. Diagnosed with MHE, an inherited bone growth disorder, this blogger has demonstrated a quiet, amazing strength as she dealt with a painful and crippling disease while going to school, working, getting pregnant, having a child, and preparing to marry her beautiful son’s father.
Today is her 20th birthday. Happy birthday, Jess.
