30 Days of Truth – Days 16-30

I’m so ready to be done with this 30 Days of Truth series, so here are the last 15 days all at once. (Day 1234567891011121314 | 15).

Day 16 → Someone or something you definitely could live without.

I could live without my gluttonous nature.  I’d like to be able to enjoy things in moderation.

Day 17 → A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.

I’ve never read a book that changed my views on anything.  I’ve read plenty of books that shifted my interest in subjects or increased my focus in something, but nothing that’s ever changed my views.

Day 18 → Your views on gay marriage.

They’ve done it with dance, television, fashion, and interior decorating.  Let the gays show us how to do marriage right, because we’ve managed to fuck it up royally on a monumental scale.

Day 19 → What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?

Both make people extremely angry when it would be more fruitful and successful in the long term to keep an open heart and open mind.

Day 20 → Your views on drugs and alcohol.

The drinking age should be 18.  Marijuana should be legal and taxed.

Day 21 → (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?

Is this a bad Lifetime movie?  The friendship means more than a fight.  I’d be at the hospital in an instant.

Day 22 → Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.

I try not to regret my actions as much as learn from them.  Even something I wish I hadn’t done may have had positive repercussions, so I think it’s best just to look and move forward.

Day 23 → Something you wish you had done in your life.

I wish I had gone to Japan while I was studying for my BA in East Asian Studies.  I wish I had continued the porn site I started in college back in the heyday of the Internet.

Day 24 → Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. (Just post the titles and artists and letter)

Music isn’t important enough to me to make a playlist for anyone.

Day 25 → The reason you believe you’re still alive today.

Because I haven’t died yet.  Also, I really haven’t done anything that risky in my life, and I’m pretty lucky.

Day 26 → Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?

No, I usually think about helping others give up on life.

Day 27 → What’s the best thing going for you right now?

Other people’s low standards.

Day 28 → What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?

Offer them a ride?

Day 29 → Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.

I’d love to be able to turn my brain off one of these days.

Day 30 → A letter to yourself, tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself

I do that every night whilst gazing at a naked portrait of myself.

  1. If I’m supposed to use the married gay people I know in my life as the example for marriage… I would NEVER, EVER get married again. EVER. I would never want to be treated that way. Everyone has the potential to royally fuck up marriage, regardless of who they are attracted to.

I like your answer to #22. It’s very enlightened.

    1. @Grant, @Avitable – it’s slowly beginning to annoy me. I’m only on day 12 and I’ve been doing it since October! But recently it’s got me posting on my blog near enough everyday, so I guess not all bad, considering that weeks can go by between my posts!
