Embarking on my first hunt for ghosts

Waverly Hills

For 70 years, the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky, housed everything from tuberculosis patients to the elderly and infirm until it was closed by the state of Kentucky in 1980. The number of patients who died during that time have been estimated from 8,000 to maybe as many as 63,000 people.  Since that time, it has become known as one of the most haunted hospitals in the eastern United States, acting as a setting for two separate episodes of Ghost Hunters as well.

Waverly Hills

Saturday morning, I fly up to Atlanta to meet up with Dave, Heather, and Muskrat, along with the rest of Heather’s group, Paranormal Georgia Investigations.  We will be driving up to Louisville on Sunday and spend the entirety of Sunday evening, until 4 AM, investigating Waverly Hills, walking around with cameras and recorders, hoping for the chance to capture something paranormal.

It is shaping up to be a creepy and fantastic weekend!

  1. You are braver than I am … you’ll go for black toenail polish AND ghost tours. Neither for me. 🙂 I hope that SOMETHING awesome happens … but even if it doesn’t, I know the recap is going to be worth reading! <3

  2. In every horror movie I’ve ever seen, there’s a point when I say something like, “Now, see, why would they go and do something like that? I mean, now they just sort of deserve to get tormented by psychotic demons, don’t they?” 😉
This, right here? Is that moment.
    Have a good time!
