Today seems like a good day to follow up on a few things.

First, I've set up a page for all of the Halloween information to be compiled, so you can find all the information about hotels and flights, buy T-shirts and raffle tickets, and ask questions specific to the party. This will also be where I'll probably put photos and stuff after the party, so bookmark it now. http://www.avitable.com/neverwas/

Second, the Halloween Raffle has now sold 63 tickets! That means we're almost to 100 when I can give away the Grand Prize ticket of a round-trip airplane ticket to Orlando. All you need is $7 for one ticket. Void where prohibited by law. Buy your tickets here.

That's all about the Halloween party on today's post - go check out the Neverwas page I've set up for some new information, and to answer some important questions I have for you.

Third, thanks to those of you who listened to our show last night about the drinking age. If you missed the show, download it here, or add it to your iTunes here.

Finally, let's talk about the Hot Blogger Calendar competition. Last night when I wrote my post, I had 113 votes. I told you that I would remove on article of clothing from this nude picture for every subsequent 10 votes I received.

As I check the results right now, I have 181 votes. So that's 68 votes all today - holy shit! I guess that means that six more pieces of clothing have to come off. That only leaves three pieces of clothing, and you have until Sunday at midnight to vote 30 more times!

Keep voting by using this link or the widget below. If I get more votes than I have pieces of clothing, I'll have to come up with something even more ludicrous, so keep them coming!

I had a video that I shot outside with the wind and rain whipping around me, bending the trees and showing that the pool was almost completely full and my Quicktime keeps crashing when I try to open it, so all my effort is for naught.

Instead, you get reminders:

First, go buy a T-shirt using the widget on the sidebar! A percentage of every T-shirt sale goes to the Halloween fund, and you can wear a piece of history. In addition, I created a few other shirts that are a bit cheaper that you might enjoy. Click the picture to go buy the shirt:

Barack Obama bought me an iPhone! shirt

Second, send me a picture! Whether it's a picture of you as a teenager or as a child, or even one as an adult, I need photos. Email them to me at my first name at my last name dot com.

Thirdly, the raffle has now sold over 35 tickets - we're a third of the way before I can offer the Grand Prize of a roundtrip ticket to Orlando for the Halloween Party! Don't you have $7.00 to spare in your Paypal account - one ticket might mean a plane ticket, a T-shirt, or something in-between! Void where prohibited by law.

Who is the ticket for?

(If the button doesn't appear, click here.)

Finally, if you have ordered a T-shirt, when you get it, I'd love to get a photo of you wearing it. Showing your balls under your shirt is not mandatory.

Hope everyone has a good weekend - tomorrow I'm guest posting over at Karl's and you don't want to miss it!

-image-Huge Announcement

Did I happen to mention that I'm having a huge, kick-ass Halloween party that all of you are invited to attend? Well, just in case you've been living in a cave for the last three months, I have been preparing for this party since June, along with some friends. We've been building props and creating designs and getting splinters and almost cutting our fingers off and putting monkeys in boxes.

I know I've been promising an announcement with regards to the Halloween party, including the theme and some cool extras I'm doing for people who might not be able to attend. Well, I always keep my promises. Click through to get all the juicy details! Read more...

I know I said this months or years ago, but I'm very close to an announcement about the Halloween party, and it will be a big one! I was waiting on a third party and they finally came through, so I can finish up what needs to be done and get all of you excited about coming.

The savvy blogger may be able to find proof of some of my Halloween preparations somewhere on the Internet. It's not on my Flickr, it's not on Twitter, but I've put some hints on a site that I have linked here in the past.

If you can't figure it out, just be patient and you'll see the big reveal very, very soon. I promise!

Just so I can get an idea, with a show of virtual hands, how many of you are actually going to try to come to the Halloween party on November 1st?

-image-Internet Assvice

Internet Assvice is the advice you get from people on the internet. And I need a taste.

As I've mentioned time and time again, I'm already planning our huge Halloween bash. Last year, almost 65 people came and it was a great time. The only downfall was the cost - in total, the party cost me about $3,000. I ended up spending almost $1,000 just on liquor, and that didn't even include the bartender!

So, this year, I was thinking of maybe doing something to offset the cost. I would like the Internet's opinion - how would you rank the following options from appropriate to inappropriate?

1. Free beer and soda and $2.00/drink cash bar for all mixed drinks and liquor.
2. Raffle tickets to win cool prize for $1.00 each.
3. Tickets to come to the party are $5 per person.
4. Giant skull at entrance for donations.
5. None of the above - any type of request for money is tacky.

My personal opinion is closest to #5, so don't worry about hurting my feelings if you think that's the most appropriate response. I'm hosting a party for guests, and while I want it to feel like a venue, not like it's at someone's house, the idea of asking for any money at all skeeves me out a bit. But if the costs were as high as $5,000, that's a lot even for me to spend on a party. So I'm torn.

Help me!

First, let me say that I was really surprised that yesterday, nobody made it over the blog where I guest posted to leave a comment. I was trying to show some support to Gina and maybe get her a few new readers, but I guess nobody wanted to fucking bother.

Second, let's talk about Halloween! It's a scant six months away, and time to start planning the huge mondo spectacular ginormous huge phallotastic AVITABLE HALLOWEEN PARTY 2008!

If you weren't reading me or didn't attend last year, here is what you missed:

http://www.avitable.com/2007/10/30/halloween-2007-recap-part-2/

This year, because I know some of you will be attending and traveling from out of state, I wanted to give you all the juicy details well in advance.

Halloween is a Friday this year, but I don't like to have parties on Friday nights since it's hard for people from out of town to get here on time if they want to work a full week. So the Avitable Halloween Party is Saturday, November 1st, from 8PM until the zombie cows come home and eat your brains.

Mark it on your calendars, tell your bosses, plan your trips - do whatever you need to do to make sure you don't miss out on the largest party of the year. And all bloggers are invited! Well, except Dooce.

Any questions or suggestions about the party? Let me know in the comments.
