If I was on TV

AvitaTV

Also, today is a friend's birthday. She turns some horribly old age and will probably celebrate it by bathing until she's pruny and trying not to smoke while she bakes awesome cupcakes and dotes on her sons. Give her good wishes – happy birthday, Bluepaintred!

Fuck Monday already!

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Okay, two things for today.

1. I'm guest posting over at Bluepaintred's. Go check it out, although it won't be active until midnight PST.

2. Many of you don't read Karl, but you are totally missing out. Here's why.

Now fuck off, kthxbai.

Randomosities

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

Today's post is just a bunch of random shit.

First, I'm now on Facebook. Add me, if ye dare. I warn ye, thar be balls up ahead if ye do!

Second, I had an awesome surprise yesterday morning (Click to view larger version)!

Third, I have decided that I'd really like a day to be named after me. Maybe sometime in April or May. Who do I see about making that happen?

Fourth, I got three new scents from BBW: Fresh Lemonade, which smells absolutely divine, Strawberry Patch, which is a little too overpowering, and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, which smelled so good, it gave me an erection.

Finally, I got tagged by that misspellin' head-explodin' peener-obsessed Canuck, Bluepaintred:

The Rules:

  1. Add a direct link to your post below the name of the person who tagged you. Include the state and country you’re in.
  2. List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location (locally).
  3. Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.

My 5 favorite places to eat locally

  1. Toojay's Deli – This New York style deli is awesome. Great latkes, amazing desserts (including one "Killer Cake" that has no flour and is so dense even I can't finish a piece), and cream soda. Someday I might get up the courage to try the tongue sandwich, but I doubt it.
  2. Fleming's – While it can never meet my expectations of a truly excellent steak restaurant after having lived in Los Angeles, it's the best one I've found in this little hamlet called Orlando. I try to eat here once a month at least, and if you're in town and ready to drop $200 or so on dinner, go to Fleming's for a meal that's actually worth every penny.
  3. Cheesecake Factory – Huge plates of food, delicious cheesecake, and one of the largest menus I've ever seen.
  4. Stacked Subs – You always need a good sub place, and this is that place. They pile the meat high, make their bread on-site, and add lots of mayonnaise. What could be better?
  5. Morton's Steakhouse – Another favorite steakhouse. Arnie Morton's steakhouses are always great places to go for a nice dinner. And although I really enjoy their cuts, I like Fleming's just a tiny bit better. This just cements my belief, though, that you can't get a decent steak unless you're willing to pay for it. And I am.
Previous players:

And, finally, who shall I tag? I'll try to be diverse with regards to state and/our country:

1. Diana from "Americans in Singapore", Singapore.
2. Miss Misery from "Miss Misery Smiles", Canada.
3. Dawn from "Tiny Voices in My Head", BFE, Pennsylvania.
4. Heather from "Typical Redhead", BFE, Ohio.
5. Amy from "Amy's Musings", BFE, California.

Week in Review I

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

With apologies to NYCWD, who does an awesome Sunday Smorgasbord every week (he's on #25 now!), I have also decided to use Sunday as for a new weekly post: my week in review. I'm going to pick five posts (one for each day of the working week) from other bloggers and illustrate them on one page. I'll try to pick different bloggers each week, if at all possible, although I'm sure there will always be certain favorites.

Blogography is four years old! Crystal is a fucking hot redhead! We three genius authors Strawberry milkshakes are magical Her birthday reflections for her baby boy

  1. Dave celebrated his 4th Blogiversary with contests, prizes, and a lot of effort. I've got both my 3-year anniversary and 1,000th post coming up in the next few months, so I think I'm going to try to emulate Dave as much as possible. Although when I do it, there will be much more nudity.
  2. Amy, Britt and I had a threesome . . . of writing. We wrote a round-robin 3-part story that was very funny and really highlighted each of our individual writing strengths. It's something we'll definitely be trying again.
  3. Crystal dyed her hair red as an homage to "Run Lola Run" and then jetted off to Prague. Whether or not she's going to have to relive her day as she tries to steal enough money to save her boyfriend is still undetermined.
  4. Poppy discovered the magic of Strawberry Milkshake Oreos, and then grooved to my milkshake dance. These cookies are available for a limited time, and they are amazing. I even ventured into a Wal-Mart (*gasp* I know, it's crazy!) to buy some – that should tell you how delicious and magical they are.
  5. Bluepaintred's baby turned 5 years old and she turned into a mommyblogger for a day. But she's allowed, because she's one of the more foul-mouthed, dirty-minded mommybloggers around.
