A few days ago, I embedded a video from Saturday Night Live, using NBC's own Hulu website. This was a skit that made light of the "victims" of sub-prime mortgages and made fun of a very liberal couple named the Sandlers and a large contributor to the Democratic party, George Soros, along with mocking Barney Frank and Bush as well.

This skit has been pulled from every site where it was posted. All comments inquiring as to the reason for it being pulled have been deleted.

No explanation has been given by NBC at all. They're just trying to pretend like the clip never existed. This makes it seem like there was pressure put on the Democratic party by the Sandlers and Soros, who then put pressure on NBC to remove the clip. That's the only reason I can think of to pull a clip like this.

And that's fucking repugnant. Everybody in the public eye is fair game under parody and satire, and if SNL can reap huge ratings from hilarious skits that make fun of Palin and McCain, they should be able to put up equally hilarious skits making fun of Democrats.

This just makes NBC look like a bully against the Republican party and affects any ability they have to appear balanced or objective.

I'm pretty disgusted with them right now.

Updated: 8:50 AM – Apparently, NBC has now rereleased the video, but removed the caption that originally displayed when the Sandlers were shown, which said "People who should be shot." Maybe this was just a legal issue after all. If that's the case, I retract my statement!
